SO YOU WANT TO BUY A SEX TOY! By Roxanna Ward
Everybody should own a good sex toy. Male and female alike. A good toy can positively enhance your life. Gone are the days when such items are considered taboo. Millions of people, couples and singles, have thrown their apprehension out the door and bought the big one. Whether you choose to play with your toy solo, or use it to add some spice to your sex life with your partner, there are a few things you need to know. Let’s squash any lingering doubts you have by slaying some of the most common myths.
You may be thinking that you'd really like to try out a new toy but are embarrassed to purchase one. Someone you know might see you walking to or from the "adult" store. What if you run into somebody with a huge purple penis in your hand? First of all, if you run into somebody you know in the sex shop there is no reason to be mortified. Why do you think they are there. Plus you don't have to actually go to a sex shop to purchase a toy. There are millions of internet sites you can go to to order privately and discretely. Your toy will come wrapped in a plain box. Believe it or not the mailman and your neighbors will never know you just received a love swing in the mail.
Sex toys are not only used for solo sex. This is a great delusion by many people. Sure numerous people use their toys for masturbation. However, just as many couples use their toys together. And just because they use a toy every now and then, it does not mean that their relationship is inadequate. Just the opposite is usually true. Their relationship may be more valuable than before
they started experimenting with toys. Talk to your partner first to get rid of any doubts and fears either of you may have.
Only perverts and freaks use sex toys. This statement is so untrue. You'd be amazed at some of the people who use toys on a regular basis. That's not to say that freaks don't use toys. It is also true that normal, regular everyday people also find the use of sex toys to be of a benefit to them. Ask some of your close friends. They may be able to recommend a particular toy or place to purchase your toys from. Once you know that others are “doing it”, you may feel more at ease about your purchase.
In the end, don't let the any misconceptions you may have about sex toy usage stop you from finding out more. Do a little research. Experiment a little with what you think you might like. In the long run you'll be happy that you did.
